With the loss of Blackhome Grandeur Lyn in 2004, our search began for a quality son to step into the void he left in our breeding program. Ironically, our search led us to a stallion we raised. We had been following the career of Pennwoods Grande Climax, who had become very successful, producing sale toppers and champions of his own. “Max” , who was bred here and sold as a yearling to Shady Creek Percherons, IN, was reacquired in November of 2004 and we are confident he will pass on many of the same desirable traits that his sire did. His dam, Pennwoods Miss Joetta Laet, is one of our biggest brood mares and she is also the dam of two of our best show mares, Pennwoods Fascination and Pennwoods Revelation. | |
