We are very proud of the group of mares who call Pennwoods home. They have been assembled not only for their wealthy pedigrees, but also for their conformational soundness and athletic ability. Most every mare in our stable has, at one point in time, held a position in our hitch, going nose to nose with some of the best hitch horses in North America. Many of them have also had very successful careers in the halter ring. It is a tall order to find mares that excel as brood mares, halter horses and athletes. Here are a few more of our favorites:
