“Lyn”, our veteran stallion possesses so many qualities that are sought after in the Percheron breed today. His popularity since we acquired him has done nothing but skyrocket.
Starting at the bottom, are one of his strongest traits, massive feet with one of the widest heels you will find. His legs and joints are extremely clean and he moves with tremendous action. Paralleling this action is his natural presence and head set, accentuated by his long neck, clean throat and one of the most beautiful heads you will find on a Percheron stallion.
Not only are the qualifications and achievements of the stallion himself important, but that of his offspring are equally as important. Whether in the show or sale ring, “Lyn’s” offspring are gaining favorable results.  Many of his offspring are being shown successfully in harness and on the line.
If your goal is to get results for your money, and you want to produce offspring that are in demand, consider this great stallion.

(#275262)

2002 National Champion Stallion

We purchased “King” in 1998 on the basis of his quality and pedigree. These two elements, along with the quality and results of his offspring have quickly made him a popular choice in our stallion lineup.  He is solid black, stands 18 hands barefoot and is a picture of perfection.  His feet and legs are of the quality we strive for, a better top line would be hard to find and he has the shoulder, neck and headset that is needed to dominate today’s draft industry.  “King” not only has quality standing, he moves like a Hackney and he can carry harness with even the best hitch horses.  He is the definition of versatility.
In 1997 he was named All American two year old stallion after a very impressive show season, and in 1998 he went on to Calgary, AB Canada to claim the title of “World Champion Stallion” at the Percheron Congress.  He truly has lived up to his name.
Many of his offspring are being shown to the top of their classes.  He sired the 1999 All-American filly foal, the 2000 All-American filly foal, the 2000 Reserve All-American yearling mare, the 2001 All-American yearling mare and the 2001 All-American two year old mare, with many more being nominated.  Another daughter, Sterling’s Holly, sold at the 2000 Sterling Sale as a 2 year old for $20,000.  His conformation and movement are being stamped out and we look forward to him making quite an impact on the Percheron industry.

(#273164)

2002 World Champion Stallion

NEW:  Hercules was undefeated in 2001 and was named All-American.

Standing in partnership with Blue Ribbon Farms, Farmington, MO

We are excited to introduce Hercules, the newest addition to the “Pennwoods Stud”. We are very critical of our breeding stock, and this stallion passed our tests with flying colors. His long neck, striking head, great feet and clean legs demand attention. Equally as impressive is his movement…. mouth watering animation on all four corners! Hercules is a son of Blackhome Duke, Premier Sire of North America for many consecutive years. On the bottom side of his pedigree is an equally impressive individual, Bittersweet Cheri Dragano, a daughter of the well known Highview Dragano. We feel that a superb mother is essential to the success of a great breeding horse, and Hercules has that in abundance. He has proved himself in the show ring by claiming many Championships and also being named All-American as a two year old. His offspring are doing equally as well with Championships and All-American titles of their own. We look forward to many more Champions by this spectacular stallion.
